Home Again.

We're just back from a few days spent visiting my Mum & Dad. We've all eaten too much and have generally been very well looked after. But it's nice to get back to our own home again. I am so behind with posts, it's August already and I still have lots of July photos to include (my blog is a record of day to day life so I don't like to miss things). I'll do a catch up post soon, first of all I'll quickly share a few photos of our trip to the south west (of Scotland that is, not the UK)

A inspects the coins tossed in the fountain.

N prefers the orange bike sign.

The old tolbooth. The town was looking most attractive, spruced up for summer visitors. It also has plenty of charity shops and I did my usual tour of them while I was here. I bought mainly books for the children but did also find something for myself that had been on my wish list for a while (which I've yet to photograph so will waffle about later)

The children and I visited the local play parks. On the way to one we spotted this fearless little bunny...

...and there we came across this cat who looked very much like our own Molly the moggie (though this one is twice the size)

As usual, I also took lots of photos of my Mum's lovely garden...

Dad's gnome.

Agapanthus, Mum is patiently waiting for it to flower.

Mum loves her roses. She has numerous shrub and climbing roses in her little garden. I'm only posting a small selection so you don't get bored!

From these photos it would appear we had nice weather. It was a bit of a mix with more rain than sunshine overall. But at least we did see patches of blue sky and sun, always cheering.

And finally...

...I got some of my rowing medals out earlier today so that N could pose for an "Olympic" medal portrait. Beat that Sir Steve!

Those rowing medals look mighty impressive, you must be very good!

I love your mum's roses, mine haven't been so great this year, but then I don't ave terribly green fingers, and they're probably feeling a little neglected.

How nice for the family to be all together, great memories to record on your blog.

What a pretty town. I love A's little pink hat - and N looks awfully tall!

You can NEVER have too many flower photos for me. :)

Look forward to seeing what you bought.

Check out those medals!! Wow, they look impressive to me! Sounds like a really nice break. I love visiting my folks on the South coast, I think I miss the sea as much as I miss them!

Do you still row? There's no-where very near to here to do it (wrong sort of rivers, more white-water!), more people tend to do sailing. Were you solo or in a crew...tell us more!
