South, a little.

Popping in quickly to add some photos from a fairly brief visit to the south of Scotland. We had a lovely afternoon visiting Caerlaverock (pretty ruined triangular castle and moat, lots of swallows darting around) and Glencaple (tall ship, fantastic skies, tasty cakes from the cafe eaten outside in the sunshine, more swallows) - two favourite places to visit when in the area.

I'm not going to linger long here on the blog - because the sun is shining! We're jooking the Saturday swimming lessons and are off to do some more outdoorsy stuff. Enjoy your weekend!

I loved Caerlaverock Castle when we visited last year such an atmospheric place, we visited Sweetheart Abbey on the same day too. Love your photos of the tall ship and those gorgeous skies:)

Have never seen a castle quite like Caerlaverock, very interesting, would love to explore it some day.
