Colour & Contrast.
Some more wintry photos from another walk. Before this one we ate far too much cake in a very nice cafe. The portion sizes were ridiculous, but we weren't daunted.
The top two photos are the same, but different. The first is with the old camera, the second with the new one. I prefer the first image - the colours are more true and the contrast is better. Unfortunately, the old camera is really past its best - the grain of dust stuck in the lense is refusing to budge meaning I need to crop a good section off most photos, also the zoom button is now sticking regularly. But I really don't like the quality of picture from the new camera. I'll try playing around with the settings to see if I can get better colour & contrast.
I can't believe it's hogmany already today, where is the time going?
A Very Happy New Year to all,
Anne x

I'm about to change my camera but at the moment all I keep doing is checking reviews to make sure I am making the right choice. It's a shame when an old faithful gets something wrong. Your wintry walk looks so lovely, I'm going to have to brave the ice and have a walk myself! Happy New Year!! x
I hope that your New Year will be wonderful! Best wishes for all good things in 2015 to you and yours! xx ps. glad to know that I am not the only one who views parental visits as inspections! xx
I hope you have a Happy New Year and continue to take great pictures whether from your old or new camera.
I do see what you mean about the new camera - good luck. Some lovely photos though. Happy New Year to you, best wishes for a wonderful 2015. Juliex
Beautiful photos, it was a good walk, no doubt especially nice to be fuelled by lots of cake. My old camera has a few problems as well, but I'm hanging on to it, I do like the picture quality (if you ignore the dark spots that appear in the sky every time). Wishing you and yours a very happy 2015. CJ xx
I am just getting use to a new camera too. I agree with you though I like the old one! Good Luck with it, I am sure you will perfect it.
Wishing you and your family a very happy New Year and I look forward to reading your blog in 2015 xxx
Oh dear, the new camera doesn't seem to be nearly as good as the old one. Can you take it back? I'm always really worried about this when I buy a new camera, and the one time I wasn't happy, I took it back and told them so, and got a refund! I do hope it's just a set up issue though and you can fix it and take photos you are happy with.
A very happy new year to you all :) Hope you have a great 2015.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
Hugs,
Meredith
Beautiful photos! I hope you make the new camera behave itself soon!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you and family!
You're right, the colours from the old camera are more true. Hope you get things sorted to your liking.
What are the scary red warriors by the side of the road??
lovely photos x happy new year (oh and there's no such thing as too much cake!)
It's always a blow when something you've loved decides to give up the ghost and I think cameras are a very special something in this day and age, Hope you soon master the new one. I am sure you will. A very Hapoy New Year to you and looking forward to some stunning shots in 2015.
