Saturday Morning Bike Ride.

Off at 7:30am. A glorious morning for the last day of May.

 Silent watcher.

Love the tree-topped hill in the middle distance.

Much zoomed and blurry, but I liked the little bird on the fence post.

Dog rose.

 The tree at the corner.

Cows on the hill. They look almost like blossom petals blown from the hawthorn tree.

A different view of the tree at the corner.

A favourite post.

Poppies!

I'd forgotten this little patch of poppies was here, a welcome sight.

Tree-topped field.

Not a cloud in the sky.

A little patch of buttercups in the field. Last year we had masses of buttercups, this year it's the cow parsely that has been outstanding.

Quite flat in these parts.

A swallow I think. He was a bit far away for me to see him properly.

 Rhodedendrons.

I like the view of the trees from round this corner.

Field of ripening corn.

Cow parsley against blue sky. Quite a different effect to my last cow-parsley-from-underneath shots just last week.

Posts and poles.

 Bike shot.

Glasgow tower blocks on the horizon.

Bluebells flowering still in shady sheltered spots.

This time with added cow parsley.

I wish I'd taken time to sit for a few minutes on this bench, it looks so inviting now.Downhill from here all the way home...

Such a gorgeous morning it was. Different story today, rain again!

What a beautiful spot. The poppies and cow parsley are lovely, and the view are magnificent. I do so love the greenness of everything at this time of year.

Wow, I loved your bike ride Anne. The countryside around you is stunning at the moment....well it always is, but right now is so pretty.
Is your tree an Ash...they are very late here this year.

What a lovely ride! The poppies are beautiful and it is amazing to see the difference in the underneath the cow parsley picture from this week to last, what a difference the change of sky colour and light makes. xx

What a great ride, Anne. I see I've missed a few posts - you must be done with school for a bit? How fun to be free to ride again!

It's so green and lovely there ... and your "quite flat" shot looks a lot like my area. Beautiful bluebells and umbellifers, and it was great to see the tree at the corner from another angle. :)

nice to see you doing bike rides again! And I like your bike shot too - I tend to try and avoid my bike in photos but it's actually quite nice to see what someone is using. I like that you have several bags too!

If you post pictures of blue skies, poppies and a few sheep I will always come back and visit. Glad you had a lovely ride.
