A good day.

Yesterday; endless pouring rain. Today; gorgeous warming sunshine, at last!

Making the most of the weather we continued with our recently discovered pastime of visiting playparks in scenic locations and this morning we went to Battery Park. It's in Greenock (not New York!), just a little bit further north from Largs (which was our first stop on our playpark tour) and still close enough to make it home for lunch.

The ferry from Gourock to Dunoon can be seen in the centre of the picture above.

Looking through the spiderweb at Gourock.

N, seeming to know never to smile at a crocodile.

N embarking, A already on board.

The play area is covered in pristine sand, ideal for N to crawl about on.

A view of Gourock and some fantastic blue sky.

We then rounded the coast to visit Lunderston Bay, a lovely little pebbley sandy beach with beautiful views across to the Cowal Peninsula.

Then home again. We stopped to admire the view from the top of the hill...

...and a bit of fence post!

Yesterday's soggy Autumn finds.

What beautiful photos especially of the one looking down on the bay.Scotland is such a beautiful place. I have particularly good memories of some childhood holidays spent in the Fortingall area.

Why doesn't it ever rain here? I'm dreaming about rain! I love that last photo - I've forgotten what wet looks like!

What a fun and interesting park and those views. I would take the children everyday just to sit and look at those views.

your blog looks fantastic with the new background. It's the very one I chose for mine but then took it off again as it looked too much with the dots as well. Great minds think alike! It looks so good on yours with the autumnal photographs. Did you see the owls on the bit for page dividers? Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. Feels a bit odd to be going public at last.

Great photos as always, I am so jealous as I just point and click, I should take more time. Oh to be beside the seaside!
