"I live in a stone cottage in the beautiful Somerset countryside. I love my home but there isn't enough room to accommodate all the things I have bought/collected over the years and keep buying. To keep my home tidy and clutter free and to make room for new arrivals, I have a regular clear out. Instead of using a well know online auction site or dress agency, I have created this blog to sell some of my own personal items.
I will be selling: Clothing, accessories, textiles, books, magazines, home wares, jewellery and more... (Modern, old, used & new) HAPPY SHOPPING!"
Isabelle generously offered a choice of two books as a giveaway prize, the one I picked was...
...The Liberty Book Of Home Sewing.
It's a beautifully presented book, packed full of some rather nice household items to sew. I especially like the fabrics used for the quilt above.
This cushion cover looked unusual and very effective...
...as did this one.
And I've always had a hankering for a decent bean bag. I did get a bean bag one Christmas when I was in my early teens and I was delighted, till I sat on it and realised it was filled with blobby mishapen polystyrene packing lumps and not the nice slidey "beans" I was expecting - like the ones you can see here in my favourite bean bag film scene(!)
Thank you, Isabelle, for a wonderful prize. I am enjoying the book very much and may even be tempted to renew my aquaintance with my sewing machine (with whom I parted on bad terms rather a long time ago).

What a lovely book, I haven't seen a decent sewing tome for a while. Like you I haven't used my machine for a long time though we are still friends, it is time to use it again I feel!
It looks a beautiful book - what a lovely prize to win!

How lovely to win such a gorgeous book!
What a great prize - lucky you. I agree the bean bag is a beauty!

I didn't know there were such things as nice slidey beans - I've only met the polystyrene kind.
That round buttoned pillow is wonderful.
What a nice book to win. I have a secret and unfulfilled passion for Liberty fabrics - they are way beyond the annual income. Perhaps when my ships comes in...
I still use my sewing machine, but I've come to realize I prefer working with yarn. Be sure to show off what you make from the book!
Fab prize!! After I had visited Liberty's in London for the first time, I decided that when I died I wanted my ashes sprinkling there! xxx
What a lovely book! I love Liberty. There is a Liberty shop in York that is always good to visit xxx
I am so glad that you like the book! I am going to order one for myself too.
I look forward to seeing the bean bag!
Have a great weekend

What a great win! I had to nip over to the bean bag link, haven't seen that for ages, I'd totally forgotten about the whole scene in such a great movie. Think it's on my need to re-watch list now. Bethx
