Our August Garden

August garden pics. Lots of butterflies: the usual small tortoiseshells, large whites and peacocks (my favourite). We've also had quite a few red admirals visiting, it's been a couple of years since I've seen them in the garden. I love the worn patches under the swings. Overall the garden is ever more neglected, one of these years I'll regain some semblance of control. It won't be this year though - 2 weeks into my PGDE and I'm feeling rather swamped by information and reading. All very interesting though and I'm enjoying it so far...

    Beautiful photos.

    I've had 3 days in school and 1 day at uni. I'll be writing about it on my teaching blog when I can but I feel swamped too. And stressed! Uni wasn't a great day and it's been a tough week as I adjust to working much longer hours - I've not had more that 5 hours sleep on any night, I'm shattered but I know it'll get better once I settle into the routine and the coursework starts to makes sense! I hope you're second week goes well :)

    I love the one with the bee coming in for a landing.

    What very gorgeous butterflies! Those peacock ones are just stunning. I like the swing photo too ... with the scuff marks on the ground.

    Your photos are just so beautiful.
    I have seen very few butterflies this summer in our garden, I need to plant more butterfly friendly flowers I think.

    It truly is butterfly season! Here too. I have seen so many--but I'm not so good at getting pictures of them. I just love your flower pictures as well. Have a good week!

    Hey Anne great pics, particularly the butterflies. That Peacock is just stunning.
    Is that a bee or wasp on the orange paper daisy? The colours are stunning....
