February

Sky. Snowdrops.

February is flying by, as usual. It starts feeling like winter will never end. Already though it feels like spring will be with us before long. Birds are singing, the sunlight is stronger and daylight lingers ever longer.

We found the best spot yet for snowdrops this year - Finlaystone, for those nearby. Take the path down past the bridge below the house towards the Clyde. Wonderful.

  1. Just wonderful Anne, they do look like snow en-masse.
I see we have similar angle pictures on these pretty flowers, and similar thoughts on the time of year :0)

  7. It makes me feel so good, seeing Snowdrops. Sadly, they will be gone by the time I get back up there but perhaps the Bluebells will be in bloom.

  10. Everyone's posting such lovely snowdrop photos - yours are spectacular. I never realised they have so much green in them - they're quite ornate from below.

Beautiful sky and branch shots too. The beauty of bare trees goes a long way towards making winter bearable.

Hope the classes are going well!
